Riverstone Marama — Woven Lantern Table Lamp Designed and fabricated in Aotearoa

A warm pool of light, wrapped in horizontal woven bands.

Each lamp is made in my Auckland workshop from recycled Plastic blended with New Zealand wool fibers sourced from local farms. The wool gives the shade its stone-like, woven texture and a soft natural glow when it's lit. The base is a calm, cream-colored wood, and the lamp throws the low kind of warmth you want at the end of a long day — not the overhead kind that makes you squint.

Recycled PLA and wool are natural materials, so each lamp has small variations in tone and texture. That's part of the charm, not a flaw.

The diffusers are 3D printed from recycled plastic.

Wipe gently with a dry cloth. Keep away from water.

Plastic-free packaging — paper tape, recycled cardboard, no fuss.

A note from me

Kia ora, I run Recycled by Design out of a small workshop in Auckland, turning waste plastic into something worth keeping.

I'll be straight with you — the wooden base isn't recycled, and the electronics aren't from a renewable source. But the wood is renewable, and you'll struggle to find a mood light made with more care for where its materials come from.
